Photos of statue with plaque "On Separation Day, 10 December 1859, from the balcony of the Deanery nearby. The proclamation of the newly-established colony of Queensland and its dependencies was read in the presence of His Excellency Sir George Ferguson BOWEN, K.C.M.G. the first Captain-General and Governor-in-Chief. This plaque was unveiled on Centenary Day 10 December 1959, by His Excellency Colonel Sire Henry ABEL SMITH K.C.V.O., D.S.O., 17th Governor of Queensland". (x 4); and plaque re history of the building from 1853 to 1968 when plaque unveiled. Article re Vale Len SHILLAM (1915 - 2005) who sculpted the Proclamatin Figure near the Deanery.
