Rev. William Magnay Wilkinson was ordained deacon at Croydon on 16th August 1903 and ordained priest at Thursday Island on 7th August 1904. He served in the Diocese at Croydon, Normanton and Cooktown. Known as 'Deafy' Wilkinson he travelled extensively throughout the Diocese visiting isolated townships, mining camps and stations. He died in Brisbane in 1935 aged 81.
