The Anzac Day services were well attended as the Toombul Sub branch of the RSL, then one of the largest in the state, marched down Charlton Street from Beatrice Terrace. Later wreaths were laid on the flag in the sanctuary and the last post sounded. The men were given lunch under the church (probably 100/120 - see photo 14) and a special tram was hired by the parish to take the men into the city for the afternoon march.
