| The Bush Brotherhood of St Paul operated in Western Queensland. Once a year, the Brotherhood transported many children from far-flung areas of the west to the eastern seaboard for a camp. |

On 15 July 1947, Field-Marshall Viscount Montgomery of Alamein laid the Corner Stone of the Cathedral extensions.
The Stone was to be known as "The Stone of Remembrance". |
