Services

The Centre provides access to The Arnott Reading Room (airconditioned), library, microfiche/microfilm reader and photocopier. Assistance is provided by professional staff.

Records considered to be fragile are not available until they have been microfilmed.

By Government and Church regulation, certain registers are closed for varying periods and research within these closed registers may be carried out only by staff.

Closure Periods

Baptism registers - closed for 80 years after the event
Marriage registers - closed for 60 years after the event

Monday to Friday
9.30 am - 4.00 pm

Access to the records for research purposes is by appointment only.

Fees

Certificate relating to Baptism, Confirmation, Marriage, Burial or Admission to the Anglican Church	$22.00 each
Personal research (long term)	$44 per annum
Research - use of Reading Room and resources	$11 per half-day
Research requested by telephone/mail/e-mail	$44 per hour (minimum charge is $22)
Prints from microfiche reader	$1 each
Photocopies	50c per page
