During the episcopates of Halse and Strong, Bishop Wilfred John Hudson, Coadjutor Bishop of Brisbane, was right-hand man to both Archbishops. He acted in many capacities beyond those of his coadjutorship. He was sometime Administrator, Head of the Bush Brotherhood, Archdeacon of the West, etc.
